The Central Fauquier Sports Complex was dedicated on September 12, 2020 to a crowd of over 150 people who gathered to celebrate the long awaited opening. The 74-acre county complex features:
The Carl A. Bailey Baseball Complex is equipped with five baseball and four softball diamonds. Bailey, known as Fauquier’s earliest baseball advocate, coached and was 30-year member of the county Parks and Recreation Board.
An asphalt trail named for former Parks and Recreation Department Director, Larry Miller, after more than 30 years in the Department.
Six rectangular multipurpose fields, including The Morgan D. Rodgers artificial turf field.
The Morgan D. Rodgers artificial turf field is one of the first privately funded artificial turf fields in the county and was made possible by Kurt and Dona Rodgers. Fauquier natives, the Rodgers dedicated the turf field in memory of their daughter, Morgan, a Division I athlete at Duke University.
With your support, Fauquier County Parks and Recreation and the Foundation hope to raise funds to provide additional trails and facilities at the Central Sports Complex in the near future.
