Northern Fauquier Community Park

From 2002-2005, the Paul Mellon Estate generously gifted Fauquier County $14 million for the construction and development of the Northern Sports Fields Complex and Park (NFCP). In September 2005 the groundbreaking was held.

NFCP is an award-winning park near Marshall, Virginia, beautifully landscaped and with paths that provide a perfect place to exercise, jog, bike, picnic and enjoy the surroundings.

The 88 acres park features picnic shelters, an amphitheater, a small meeting room, athletic fields, playgrounds, 1.75-mile paved walking trail, indoor restrooms and fishing ponds.
